Home Service Plus has contracted with American West to provide customer service for their new homes. In administering the provided warranty, our commitment to you is simple... provide the best service possible.
This begins by helping you first understand the builder's limited warranty policy, and continues with the timely and efficient completion of all warranty items, and it ends with your complete satisfaction.
If you require warranty service, please complete the "Request Service Form" in detail. After you have filled out the service form, please click on the submit button. You will then be contacted by a Home Service Plus representative in order to schedule your service date.
Home Service Plus offers homeowners a Home Maintenance Program designated to help busy people maintain the performance of their home. Too often, whether we realize it or not, many necessary home maintenance issues are neglected.
We provide a 12-Month Maintenance Plan that will help keep your worries to a minimum with our pre-scheduled list of services. Our team of experienced professionals will perform this list for you.
Every month Home Service Plus will:
- Clean or replace your air-conditioning filters per manufacturers specifications
- Check all GFCI's (ground fault circuit interrupters) to ensure they are working properly
- Check all faucet aerators for proper water flow
- Check all plumbing faucets, including the water heater, for leaks
In addition, months two through twelve have other pre-selected items that are inspected or maintained i.e. lubricate window rails, exterior hinges and locks; inspect grout on all tiled areas; check all smoke detectors. Your home is designed to work as a whole system and therefore, must be maintained. Every once in a while, something may break and need repair and that is where Home Service Plus comes in.
We are a company committed to providing personalized service in helping customers maintain their most important investment. Our experienced staff is equipped with the skill sets necessary to repair almost anything in your home. If for whatever reason, we cannot assist you with your repair, we will refer you to a licensed contractor who can.

We provide FREE estimates for a wide range of improvements from small carpentry jobs to painting. And if Home Service Plus is unable to assist you with your project, we will refer you to licensed contractors who can.

To help assure your satisfaction with your purchase, a Home Builder's Limited Warranty (PWC Form No. 117 Rev. 01/2007) administered by Professional Warranty Service Corporation is provided on the home, and is transferable upon the re-sale of the home. Refer directly to the Limited Warranty for an explanation of specific responsibilities, coverage, approved warranty Performance Standards and exclusions. Please note the Home Builder's Limited Warranty does not cover damage or losses resulting from ordinary wear and tear, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, improper operation, changes, alterations, or addition made by anyone after the occupancy date, or any loss for which the homeowner has not taken timely steps to minimize. Nor does the limited warranty cover recompense for inconvenience or incidental expenses related to relocation during repairs, unless the home is rendered uninhabitable by the repair of a Construction Defect as defined in the Limited Warranty.
The Home Builder's Limited Warranty is directed by Home Service Plus, Inc., a professional warranty service provider. The information found on the following pages describes how you are to request warranty service from Home Service Plus, what to do in the case of an emergency, followed by the Home Builder's Limited Warranty (PWC Form No. 117 Rev. 01/2007). There are also helpful suggestions on ways the homeowner can fulfill their maintenance responsibilities on the new home as well as to what type of issues would be considered "an emergency" during the First Year Limited Warranty

The Warranty for the appliances and equipment in your new home is carried by the manufacturer, not Home Service Plus or the Builder. Therefore, please read all bulletins and manuals concerning the use and proper maintenance of your appliances and/or equipment.

Please take the time to read and become intimately familiar with your new home limited warranties. Your home requires an active maintenance effort to reduce the likelihood of damage due to neglect, improper maintenance, or abnormal use. If you do not understand the terminology or concept presented in the New Homeowner's care guide, please consult your Customer Service Coordinator or a Home Service Plus technician.
- A total stoppage of the sewer/plumbing system - after plunging.
- A water leak, requiring shut off at the meter, to avoid damage to the home or property.
- After checking the electrical switch and/or breaker, thermostat, gas meter and gas valve, a COMPLETE loss of heat in cold weather or cooling in the hot weather.
Home Service Plus personnel are on call seven days a week, around-the-clock. In the event of an emergency, please telephone the Home Service Plus, Inc., main office at (702) 795-3758. During normal business hours, a Warranty Service Coordinator will address your concerns and if required, schedule immediate service. After normal business hours, you will be given the number of an after-hours answering service. Call the answering service, provide them any requested information and the answering service will contact the on-call Home Service Plus Warranty Service Technician. The Technician will respond to you directly by telephone and arrange for warranty service to take place if required. Please note, if you choose to call a different company for service, Home Service Plus or your builder will not reimburse your expenses.
